- Representing a seller or a buyer during the negotiating phase, when price and terms are established, is the most critical service I can perform for my clients
Having worked as a Realtor® in Oak Park and River Forest since 1986, I have helped many families and individuals find the home that best fits their needs. I have enjoyed working with first-time buyers as they made that all-important decision to purchase their first home. Assisting homeowners who have decided they want a larger or different home presents a different set of challenges and needs. And, helping people who have decided to leave their homes and downsize requires an understanding of the different options that exist in this major transition. Selling real estate is as much about the trusting relationship between a Realtor® and the buyer or seller as it is about the home involved in the transaction.
Representing a seller or a buyer during the negotiating phase, when price and terms are established, is the most critical service I can perform for my clients. I have honed my skill in this area and work very hard to perform this task with knowledge, skill and maximum integrity. My success in this area is evidenced by the fact that my customers have become my best referral sources.
While a long time resident of Oak Park, I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY. My migration to the Midwest began with my college career at The University of Michigan where I earned a BA and an MSW. Oak Park is one of those communities that welcomes involvement from its citizens and during my years here I have been active in local politics as well as being a 30 year member of the League of Women Voters.
I've had a longstanding commitment as a Director and officer of the Oak Park Residence Corporation, a not-for-profit corporation focused on fair housing and rehabilitation of multi-family housing. Working on the Residence Corporation has kept me aware of the larger issues affecting our regional and local housing markets.
I am married to Barry, a clinical psychologist, who has retired from the University of Illinois at Chicago but continues to teach and maintain a private practice as well as community involvement. Both of our children, Jessica and Jeff, live with their families near Boston. Their children, our delightful grandchildren, bring pleasure, worry and unabashed joy to our lives.
I will bring commitmment, intelligence, enthusiasm and integrity to the purchase or sale of your home.
